Regardless of the Outcome, Coin Tosses Should Bother Us

So, CNN has put out an article titled "No, Hillary Clinton did not win Iowa because of a coin flip" (the author even stated that Sanders won 5 of the 6 coin flips, contrary to what was reported in The Des Moines Register, The Guardian, and other outlets). Another article from Wired is titled "Relax...Iowa's Caucus Coin Flip Is Perfectly Normal."

What misleading titles. While some do imply that Sanders lost because of random chance, is the actual outcome of the caucuses even relevant? Shouldn't we be outraged by the simple fact that coin tosses are "a perfectly normal" means used to settle matters of such national significance (regardless of who ultimately wins)?
